Just 1 Nurse

Just 1 can make all the difference! It only took one Florence Nightingale to discover that handwashing really does make a difference in infection control. To discover that light and fresh air matter to patient healing. One lady born into privilege heard the call to be a nurse. She left it all behind to become a nurse, who turned healthcare on its heels, who was the first nurse researcher, and who was the Lady with the Lamp. I bet she was much more to each soldier who laid ill in her wards. Just 1 that’s all it takes- Just 1 #just1

Just 1 Revolutionary

Just 1. One person standing up for truth can start a revolution. A reformation. Martin Luther challenged the status quo. And today millions of Christians around the world have the ability to read their Bibles and have a personal relationship with their Creator. Have faith and be courageous. Just 1. #Just1

Just 1 Teacher

Just 1. One teacher can make the difference in the lives of hundreds, thousands. Take Mrs. Sue Williams at West Monroe High School. She taught AP Senior English. She brought literature to life with stories of ancient battles, forgotten love, and people who triumphed. She believed in each of her students, that one day their dreams would be realized, that they could do anything! Just 1 teacher created scholars and world changers. Be the teacher who sees success, joy, and world changers. #just1

The Journey Begins

Our lives take us down many paths. I am so grateful that my path led me to the profession of Nursing. As a nurse, I wear many hats: advocate, care-giver, scientist, educator, and leader to name a few. Each hat allows me to make a difference in the life of a patient and the lives of their families. And all of them allow me to build and #KeepTheTrust that patients have placed in my knowledge, skill, and my ability to care.

My goal here is to share stories of how nurses #KeepTheTrust in their everyday practice. And to remind us that we must work to not only earn the trust of our fellow man but that we must also work all the harder to #KeepTheTrust

Thanks for joining me!
